The Bristol - Oporto Association spent six days enjoying a Cultural tour of North Portugal - it was a real family holiday.     
Based in Oporto accommodation, they visited Coimbra University, the "Palace" in Buçaco, and"Vista Alegra" pottery in Aveiro. The Leitòe (suckling pig) lunch was very popular, and the wine flowed!
 Some went by train beside the Douro river, others toured picturesque Gardens and Houses, Churches and Theatres. A trip on the Aveiro canal, mean`t the visit to a Bacalhau fishing boat, and a Military museum must wait till next time.A Port Wine Tasting tour, and a small river Cruise for some, shopping for others,  before the final Dinner at the prestigious "British Club".

These Gentlemen from St James Club in Manchester didn't play golf, but spent four days on the Port Wine Tasting tour.
 With a Visit to four Port wine cellars, gourmet lunch at a wine cellar, a Cruise up the river Douro to see where the grapes are grown, and a train ride through this beautiful Douro  region ....  Espinho Casino provided a first class Show, with a dinner for some.
 Accomodation was arranged at the private "Oporto Cricket & Lawn Tennis Club".
They also "soaked" up the NORTH Portugal atmosphere, with fine meals on the water front.
